- How the people have changed the places where they live
- How the people connect the places they live to other places (esp. where they come from)
- How the people you have chosen to explore illustrate the conditions that make these connectivities possible
Research Assignment: Things
General Information - Use the database below to find basic information about the company that produces your "thing" or product such as:
- Is it a public company or private company?
- Is it traded on one of the U.S. stock exchanges such as NYSE, NASDAQ, or OTC?
- What is the address of the company's headquarters?
Consumption of your Thing or Product - Use the following library databases to find articles on:
- How is the product marketed?
- Where is it consumed?
- How is it consumed?

Most articles in Business and Company Resource Center and Lexis-Nexis are full-text. If you find an article that is not full-text (such as the Wall Street Journal), you'll need to search for the article separately. Go to the Library Catalog and seach by the journal, magazine or newspaper title.
In addition, you may also find product, marketing and product consumption information on the company's website.
Manufacturing, Extraction or Production Methods - Use the following library databases to find articles on the manufacturing, extraction or production methods used at the assembly plant:
